Jeremy - there are settings to eliminate the bkite checkin feature sending a message to twitter. I think the real issue is people knowing how to use their social media tools. There are only so many services one person will indulge in joining until the mind shuts down and these great services become a burden and not a useful information resource. Most of the people I talk to don't even know about bkite and the ones that do know bkite have no idea the amazing integration features. If you disobey this commandment: iii.Thou Shalt Not Use Twitter in Conjunction With a Service Which Updates Itself Automatically and Frequently - this commandment doesn't exist: xiv.Thou Shalt Not Spend Thine Day Reading Blogs, Leaving Comments, Writing Tweets, Updating Facebook Statuses, and then Complain About Thine Busy Schedule. And Jeremy I know you don't not like bkite, but I really love it, so I will always defend it - thanks for the awesome post!

Wow Jeremy. Considerable skill demonstrated in writing that in Commandment format. Super tips. Sometimes you don't know your blowing it when you're new to this stuff.

What do you think of using a plugin for your blog so that it automatically tweets your new post? Bad? I'm actively participating on twitter and not just spamming, but am I blowing it all the same?
