I think it is time for the next President to appoint a ‘Copyright Commission’ that will spell the end of the media conglomerates’ dominance of American life (and incidentally, their distortion of the Consumer Electronics and Software industries). I agree with most of your article, however if I were to rip a CD and put it on P2P, and say 1000 people download it, would that not be more like walking in to a cd shop and stealing 1000 cds and handing them out. A little more serious than lifting a single cd.
