Thnks for your review. I have just recently purchased a sony vaio sz680 which is sorta like the one you are reviewing. same series atleast. similar featureas, and i have just been looking for reviews to see what to expect from it when it gets here in about a week. out of all the reviews i have watched/read including the Cnet reviews and videos, yours is by far the most detaled and informing i have seen. the pictures you offer is great to show what all you say in your review. thanks very much for your review. i belive i will get the extended battery for mine aswell. once again, thanks. :)

don't waste your money. i have had nothing but problems with this computer since i bought it 1 1/2 years ago. their customer service is awful and i have lost more than a week's worth of work just wading through all the bad advice they gave me (not to mention the time my computer was actually being repaired.)

I'm glad you like it, for a consumer-grade laptop, they hve lots of bells and whistles......Once piece of advice.....extended warranty....and DOCUMENT it....Sony's after-purchase support is attrocious, and if you intend to USE the system, you will definitely USE the warranty...our marketing department bought one batch of Sony's for work use(without consulting IT), never again...actually had one 2 out of 10 units die within a week of purchase...

for AV, Sony rules, for PC.....stay away....VERY proprietary, and as for Blu-Ray....hmm...anyone remember Betamax?
