Religous iPods

I've decided to stick with my iPod theme today by taking a moment to appreciate a New York Times story on religious Jews using iPods to study the Talmud.

In many ways this makes perfect sense. Professors are using iPods to store audible lectures. Doctors are using the photo iPods to save patient x-rays, why can't orthodox Jews use the iPod for their religious studies?

The main reason the self described ShasPods are such a hit is that orthodox Jews are banned from using the Internet for anything outside of work, including religious studies. Now, however, the Talmud comes prepackaged Internet free and orthodox friendly. Just don't use it on the Sabbath.
