Ld guide is a recurring column in which our writers take a look at a particular topic, and put together a practical guide for how digital technologies have changes the way we live. Topics in Ld guide range from Sun to Snow, from Commute to Workout, from Swim to Surf. Whatever the topic, the Ld guide is here to help you make the best of digital living.
About Snow
The Ld guide to snow is focused on that wonderful state of water between dreadful slush and a good surface for hockey. Snow. With luck, most of our time in the snow is spent having fun, whether it be a backyard snowball fight, or careening down a mountain at 70mph on two fiberglass sticks. The Ld guide to snow is primarily focused on the latter.
Whether you ride one plank or two, this 6-pack of Ld Guide to Snow essentials are must haves this season.

Samsung SC-X105 "Sports Cam"
We saw a sneak preview of this little gadget at CES, and there's very little information about it, but basically you strap a small lens to your head, and wear a pack at the waist. The pack has storage, and the lens wirelessly captures video to it. Interesting concept, although the guy wearing it definitely looked a little odd... The device goes on sale in March, and we can't officially vouch for it. Yet.
