This is a pretty in-depth review of this new flash-based PMP device. While I haven't used it, I can say this much: any device that requires me to convert all my files into a specific format cannot get a strong recommendation.

It is a near-impossible mission, but portable devices will always be plagued by inability to keep up with the varying PC file formats. This is one of the more fascinating aspects of the influence of PCs on media - until 10 years ago, it was manufacturers and content owners who dictated formats. Today, it is out of any group's control.
